This monitor is excellent and probably the best choice for most users. But the caveat is serious enough that I've only given it three stars overall, and is largely the result of poor disclosure of features in the marketing materials. I've read (several) reviews, ASUS documentation, etc. It is cumbersome to change input sources. I've had this monitor for about 9 months now. I used to use it a lot for FPS games but I recently moved to nowhere and now I have terrible internet speed and can barely log into Steam. I trust the ASUS brand and their TUF line of products. After looking at so many monitors at a price I could afford, I finally settled on this one. For a VA panel and 165Hz with a 1ms refresh rate, this panel is perfect for gaming at 1080p, which is what I wanted. I highly recommend this monitor. It's not really a review, it's just that there's nowhere to put it. I bought the VG27VQ thinking it had an adjustable height stand as you can see it in all the photos. This monitor is large and fits my needs perfectly. The 165Hz refresh rate is smooth and the brightness is so good it almost blinds me. The only thing I don't like is that it's only a 1080p monitor and if you can get over that it's a great monitor for the price it's currently sold for.

I left a review about a year ago shortly after purchase talking about picture quality and value. Just unbelievable. I don't notice any input lag from my Xbox and the picture is amazing. Definitely helped me with gaming, especially online. Saves you the split second that usually decides victory.

This is a 1080p monitor. They are practically commodities. The curve is pleasant, the picture and colors are what you would expect from 1080p. The really standout MVP of this monitor is the stand. I was looking forward to this monitor. Unfortunately the packaging was dented and torn upon receipt. After setting up my monitor, I see broken pixels everywhere. I've tried all three connections and it only seemed to get worse and when you try to use a DVI connection it can't run at 165, it just stays at 144 and it doesn't even play my games properly. I am very disappointed that I have to return this monitor.

Shipped quickly and received with no problems. I'm using an NVIDIA RTX 3080 with full settings and the picture looks great. I can later switch to a G-SYNC enabled monitor to take full advantage of my graphics card once the prices of those monitors drop. This only supports Free SYNC.
