This product is simply fantastic. I love the gold thread woven into the obi. I've made a few changes. Japanese art is very simple and the background embroidery makes the piece look very busy. I took them out through a few rows and I like them a lot better without them. I also skipped the green lazy daisies on the obi. Maybe it's because I'm not very good at making them, but I like them a lot more without them. It looks fantastic in a deep matte photo frame (so the seams don't crease). I'm starting today with the companion piece "Elegant Geisha" --- can't wait! The instructions/legend is very good and I love the pre-sorted thread. Aida 18 can be a bit tricky, but I like it a lot more. "Mai" has many very thin lines that would be difficult to achieve with large squares. It took me a few weeks - I worked on it for several hours every day.
