It's much easier to carry a CO 2 tank behind a water cage. I've found that the right over sprocket type when mounted on the rear down tube doesn't fully seat in the slip due to the shifter mount getting in the way, but I still carry two CO 2s as they slip at about 50%. , and once the CO 2 locks into place, it's very secure. The purchase is worthwhile.
