I got the first Flair model when they were first released. I think that this gauge is not technically perfect for this machine as the angle of the lever on the gauge does not allow the lever to be fully compressed so the last 1cm of water cannot be missed. whatever and it's worth it. The lid that goes into the cooking chamber fits perfectly and the pressure gauge works. It really helped me to get good shots. I used to get very embarrassed about grinding too fine or too coarse or just not pressing hard enough or too hard and never getting consistent results. In fact, I was so frustrated with not knowing what I was doing that I put the car aside for years. But it makes the original flair much easier to use. I use 15g of espresso, pour boiling water directly over the hole where the gauge is attached and try to eject the shot in about 30 seconds (which means lowering the lever to squeeze out as much water as possible without to damage the gauge arm), maintaining the pressure is generally around 9 bars, but between 6 and 9. I adjust the grind to work within these parameters and with the margin it offers, I put the grind level for best results. like any espresso machine. Highly recommend as if you don't know how much pressure you have it's pretty easy to grind too fine and press too hard.
