This is very practical, because espresso with Flair Classic or Neo with bottomless portafilter has a constant pressure. It's also nice to see where you're going wrong when the pressure isn't right.

Pros
  • NOT COMPATIBLE WITH PRO 2 MODELS. Use this pressure gauge with Flair Espresso Maker Classic or Signature coffee machines. Buy a 2-in-1 bottomless portafilter to use with the Flair NEO.
Cons
  • Without automatic

A must for all flairists!

Availability If you have a flair and don't have a gauge, I highly recommend getting one. The sensor offers smoother extraction as well as the ability to fine-tune on the fly. I've fired over 500 shots with the gauge so far and it has shown no signs of wear or failure. It costs money!

Pros
  • SINGLE BLADE. Control the quality of your espresso by aiming it at the espresso zone when lowering the lever on your Flair espresso machine.
Cons
  • Update

I bought this brand new but the item was definitely not new; The packaging arrived crumpled and torn, there were old coffee stains on the butt, the instructions were all crumpled. Not too happy to have paid full price for a definitely used product. Plus, it does a great job of figuring out how much pressure you're putting on Flair. Because the ring/collar is made of stainless steel, this is another item that requires preheating, adding another layer of work to your workflow. Fitting a piston to

Pros
  • PRECISE SPIN CONTROL - Use this gauge with your Flair to more effectively set your grind level and get repeatable results with your Flair NEO, Classic or Signature. The meter's faceplate has an espresso target range of 6-9 BAR, just what you need for cafe-quality espresso.

Don't waste your money, it doesn't work.

Out of service. The fixed position of the pointer on the manometer is 2 bar. I can't get more than 5 bar out of the gauge, regardless of grind, pressure, etc. Good idea, but it just doesn't work.

Pros
  • Espresso machines
Cons
  • Very expensive

Really useful for the original Flair

I got the first Flair model when they were first released. I think that this gauge is not technically perfect for this machine as the angle of the lever on the gauge does not allow the lever to be fully compressed so the last 1cm of water cannot be missed. whatever and it's worth it. The lid that goes into the cooking chamber fits perfectly and the pressure gauge works. It really helped me to get good shots. I used to get very embarrassed about grinding too fine or too coarse or just not…

  • Nothing here
