I bought the Cameo 3 in 2017 and I'm very happy with it. After learning how to use a variety of settings on a variety of materials, the Cameo 3 worked extremely well - mainly cutting thick card stock and foil! We recently received a large order of face shields. It overheated several times when cutting (more than) sheets of transparent film. I read that cooling with a fan helped. We got it - worked fine - but anticipating that we might need to replace it before completing this order I decided to order another one. After reading about the new features of the new Cameo 4, I decided to buy one of these new models. Exactly 7 weeks ago today we received our new Cameo 4! As soon as we completed our big order, I started experimenting with the Cameo 4's amazing new features, such as: B. Using the new 3mm kraft paper blade to cut thick materials. In short, we've had all sorts of issues with the Silhouette Studio software. After contacting Silhouette with a very detailed description of the bugs (and LOTS of pictures), we were told that the version we were using for our Mac (4.4.090) was not stable, so we reverted to the stable 4.3 version. 370 back - the same version. like on our PC. But that didn't solve our cutting problems - not being able to cut (chipboard, foam or leather) with a 3mm Kraft blade according to the Silhouette website! I keep getting the error: Incompatible material settings. But those were acceptable cutting materials listed on their website! Today I turned it on to do more testing. Cameo 4 turned on and highlighted the initialization sequence on the panel as usual. Immediately afterwards, however, all the lights went out. There used to be a download (up arrow), an upload (down arrow), and a Bluetooth icon that glowed until the device was turned off. So now I have a 7 week old Cameo 4 that doesn't work and (3mm Kraft) blades that I can't use with my Cameo 3! I will try to see if Revain will allow me to return this defective cameo 4. But I probably won't be able to return the 3mm Kraft Blades as the packaging has been opened. VERY DISAPPOINTED!
