Kanu Surf Boys Vertigo UPF 50 Plus Rashguard Review: Mixed experience

As a parent looking for quality swimwear for their little ones, I was intrigued by the Kanu Surf Boys Vertigo UPF 50 Plus Rashguard. The navy blue color and stylish design caught my eye, and the promise of UPF 50+ sun protection was a huge plus. However, my experience with this rashguard was mixed, resulting in a 3 star rating. On the plus side, the rashguard felt well made and durable. The material was thick enough to keep you warm on chilly days at the beach or pool, but still comfortable enough for my son to wear for long periods of time. The size has approximated, the color has not faded even after several washes. Unfortunately, there were also some negative aspects. The rashguard doesn't stretch very much, which made it difficult to put on and take off, especially when wet. In addition, my son complained that the armpit stitches were uncomfortable and chafed the skin. While the UPF protection was an advantage, I can't fully attest to its effectiveness as we didn't spend any length of time in direct sunlight while wearing this rashguard. Overall, while the Kanu Surf Boys Vertigo UPF 50 Plus Rashguard has some positives, the negatives ultimately resulted in a mixed experience. If the manufacturer solves the seam problems and adds elasticity to the material, this rashguard could be the best choice for parents who want sun protection and stylish swimwear for their kids.

Pros
  • I like the material they used. Pretty fat and pretty.
Cons
  • Sizing Range May Be Limited: Although this rashguard comes in 2T, the sizing range may not be sufficient for older boys who need a rashguard for protection and comfort.
