Review on ๐Ÿ”ฅ Ramblewood GC2-43N: High Efficiency 2 Burner Gas Cooktop (Natural Gas), ETL Safety Certified - Premium Quality Kitchen Appliance by Sheppard Priest

Decent stove let down by instructions, safety mechanism and poor regulator

Bought for camping kitchen installation. The physical installation went well, the gas installation did not. Problem 1: I believe the bottom connection is 1/2 NPT - I say believe because it's unclear from the instructions. At first I could get less than two threads with any type of connection before it stopped. After visiting a hardware store to buy a die, I cut/cleaned the paint threads and was able to make about four turns. Problem 2: The controller that came with the cooker (the vocal controller can be purchased separately on Amazon). ) I did not regulate the gas pressure - I squeaked for a few seconds, and then switched off due to overflow. I followed the instructions to switch from NG to propane, but it didn't matter. I assembled and disassembled the gas fitting at least 4 times to find out what my problem was before finally buying a new regulator from Amazon and the problem was solved. Problem 3: Safety mechanism/thermocouple (as mentioned in other reviews) keeps getting hot. I tried leaving my lighter on the thermocouple for 30 seconds and it still wouldn't let the gas flow after I let go of the temperature button. I "fixed" this issue with a small rework as it can only be used outdoors (folding kitchen on a caravan). If you install it indoors, it will cause serious irritation. Other than that, it looks and works fine once you've got everything working.

  • Great for me
Cons
