I went according to the size chart and I think the XL is a great fit for my 20 pound dog. He has short legs so the legs are a bit baggy. I folded the cuff on the hind legs of the pajamas and they’re still too long. A few times his short legs slipped out and were trapped in the pajamas and he couldn’t get himself out of bed and walk. If your dog has short legs make sure to only have them in these when you are home to watch them.UPDATE November 29, 2020. His legs are just too short. They keep slipping out and get trapped in his pajamas.
