Great fun for adults and children (even small children!)

Lightly speckled on paper, these watercolors are great fun. In fact, just a few crumbs is a LOT! Some of my students come to me during break hoping to do something fancy, and these paints are just what you need when you want to get amazing results in a very short amount of time. Poke a hole (no second hole needed) in the plastic lid, then tap the jar with your finger to sprinkle a few crumbs onto the paper. Cleanup is a breeze because there aren't any - unless you skip the paper by tapping the can. :). Once the crumbs are where you want them, lightly drizzle them onto the paper. Conveniently comes with a spray bottle. Colors can be shifted and mixed like a standard watercolor. When using two colors next to each other on the color wheel, like yellow and orange, stick to it until you're comfortable with the mist. If the water (and paint) is flowing, don't make a "dirt" this way. I take an 8.5" x 11" piece of cardboard, spread the paint out, spray paint, let dry and then cut into 4 card backgrounds. Another way to use Brusho is to start with watercolor paper, dampen it with a brush, and then gently spread out the paint crumbs. Mixing and shifting colors is easier on watercolor paper, and the paper rolls less easily than card stock. Watercolor paper can be cut into postcards after drying. For parents looking for something not too messy for kids, this is PERFECT. Limit the amount of water in the sprayer. Limit the amount of paint by cutting the cotton swab in half and squeezing out the paint shavings at the end of the STICK, not the cotton end. Place a limited amount of paint chips in an empty ice cube tray (for example), about 1/4 the size of a cotton swab. If cotton swabs aren't available, use coffee stirrers, which are mini straws. Cut one end diagonally to make a small crumb spoon. By buying a few cheap index cards, a child can color for hours! Adults can experiment a little with the amount of paint and water.
