Review on ๐Ÿ”ง U480 OBDII Auto Scanner Trouble Code Reader for Check Engine Optimization by Eric Smithlin

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Worth the price.

For the money, this is a great little scanner. Despite some translation errors, the instructions are actually very good and at the end there is a list of all the most common codes. The tool itself does what it says on the tin and the build quality is pretty good. The cable is long enough to use the reader in the driver's seat. If any of the previous reviewers found this confusing, it's possible that he or she didn't follow the instructions. Plug in the reader with the key in the off position, then turn on the key and the reader will start scanning codes. It couldn't find the VIN for the two cars I tested it on, but otherwise worked great. There are several tools with more features, but they are all much more expensive. If you pay more for a reader, it must support at least CAN. Possibly also OBDI. You just won't find it in this price range. This tool was perfect for my needs. He told me I need a new O2 sensor. The gas money I saved from a week's drive paid off easily for both this code reader and the sensor.
