The tool fits the cables, but the cables are stuck in the connectors and are also rusty. Even after using penetrating oil I had to cut the wires and knock them out with punch and chisel. Then I tried on a new cable and that helped secure the cable in the connector, but I didn't have enough leverage with short handles. either delete again. It should be called an installer rather than a release tool. I would not buy again
