Bought as my main zoom mic as all other mics had issues. Mic volume control and mute button are good. Sound quality definitely good enough for a "Talking Voice" This makes it a great choice for Zoom. I would NOT make it my first choice for use on musical instruments or singing, although it could be useful as an inexpensive secondary mic. The tripod is fine, but that 5/8" thread means I can screw it directly onto a cheap mic stand: no separate mic clip is needed, so the mic doesn't slip out and fall off.
