The holes are Syrian size, the hamster loves it, but it is recommended to seal it completely first and make the lid more secure

. It is now July 30 of this year. So I've had it for 5 months now. When it arrived there were spots where it came loose and I had to put glue on it. - Many hamster wood products from most brands are not sanded properly. Feel: They are fairly smooth. no splinters when I run my hand over it. But in some places it's tough, like it could be more. That's why I didn't polish it. Durability: I had to apply glue in several places both upon arrival and after several months of retouching. It has two wooden dowels that "secure the lid in place". My personal criticism is that it still wobbles a bit when moving things or using it as a hamster wheel stand. This can be fixed by securing the cover with a hinge or a couple of dowels. Note: Wooden dowels are very cheap and can be found almost anywhere that even simple hand tools are sold. But still. To glue wood or not: water and food stains can be seen. I highly recommend using sealant first. - Pet proof seal or baby/saliva proof seal or even FOOD SAFE (0 VOC per ml/g, formaldehyde, non-toxic etc. e.g. soy material, lime or plain but without those chemicals). This makes it a pleasure to use for other things around the house. Pet Size: Syrian Hamster Size. (So will all midgets fit). In the video I have a long-haired Syrian and you can see that he is doing a great job😜. He uses the small room on the far right as his nest. The one in front of him closes for the camera to hide the food in the bags. The one next to his nest (middle chamber, farthest from the chamber) as a toilet. And the chamber on the far left is like a toilet. He loves his nest. For: Syrians as shown and all smaller breeds of hamsters. To use this: I recommend having glue on hand or buying one for that. I used children's school glue as it is non-toxic and safe for pets, while wood glue is not safe and not safe to put in the mouth (remember these are natural chews). or wait two weeks or so in a well-ventilated area away from pets and children until the chemical odor wears off. Note: Just like humans, hamsters have a delicate respiratory system. If it smells strong to you, it smells good to her too. I also recommend getting more dowels OR better yet, getting hinges to hold the lid in place. Unless you close the lid tighter yourself than the manufacturer does: - Even if there is only a drinking and feeding bowl, I still hear a 130g 1 year 8 month older Syrian hamster crawling out of the hole in the lid ( which he loves!).Pro: didn't have to grind buying cheap actual SYRIAN sized holes! (I've found that only the Niteangel and AndWe brands in America have Syrian sized inlets and chambers. All holes are the same size. Syrian hamsters are approved and popular! Cons: The lid needs to be made more secure so you don't hear a hamster Every time they have to buy or use wood sealer first I didn't and now it's stained and I have to clean it around the pee spots with warm water and a toothbrush and then let it dry completely for a couple of days or it will stink , no matter how often you clean and deep clean the cage as the wood is porous.

Pros
  • Constant test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
