Review on Redi Shade 36x72 Light Filtering Pleated Paper Shades, 6-pack - White by Shari Smith

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Temporary shades that work well.

ADVANTAGES:* They fold up in minutes for easy window access.* They provide instant privacy.* They block excess sunlight (and heat).* They're cheap and great for the real Business. CONS: * Picky stickiness - if your walls have a slight drywall texture, don't rely on them to stick well to your walls. We closed 6 windows and all but one fell down within 30 minutes and even every other day. For best performance, we used two to three push pins along the top, depending on the width. This ensured they didn't fall off.* They flatten out pretty quickly. They're just long, wide strips of crepe paper, and contrary to what some might say, gravity is real. They stretch when clamps are used to levitate them at any height. For best results stretch the curtains until they reach the window sills and use clips to secure them to the edge. You control the stretch up front and don't have to adjust it later.* While it's relatively easy to cut, you'll still need a sturdy knife or scissors. Handle them with care as the edges of these shades are sharp! I definitely recommend them as they offer excellent protection from the bright sun and lack of privacy. Just set your expectations accordingly.
