Review on ARANA Liftgate Supports Chrysler Country by Dino Wilson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

GREAT STANDS, terrible instructions.

My 2008 Town and Country's power liftgate pillars finally gave out after more than 12 years of hard use. Dept for $22.99 with free shipping (Revain Prime). DO NOT FOLLOW (OR EVEN ATTEMPT TO READ) THE INSTRUCTIONS PROVIDED WITH THE BANDS! Where they are not confusing, they are simply wrong. The exchange should not take 10 minutes .1. Open the tailgate (a/k/a LIFTGATE) and lift it up. I used a 1 x 4 piece of wood BE CAREFUL... THE BACK DOOR IS HEAVY.2. Open a YouTube video, e.g. B. How to Replace the Tailgate Pillars on a 2008 Chrysler Town and Country.3. Use a flat head screwdriver to pry up the indicated top clip (or remove it, it doesn't matter...new posts have new clips). ENSURE THE REAR DOOR IS SECURELY SUPPORTED, then remove the top of the rack from the rack.5. Follow steps 3 and 4 on the clip on the bottom of the rack.6. Install the bottom of the new rack, then the top. Squeeze them tight. ENSURE BOTH ENDS ARE CLOSED IN POSITION.7. Repeat the process on the other rack. THE MOST IMPORTANT PARTS, AS I UNDERSTAND IT, IS ENSURE THAT THE GATE IS SUPPORTED SECURELY WHILE YOU ARE WORKING ON IT AND IF YOU THINK YOU WILL BE DOING IT. I wouldn't turn down a second pair of hands if there was someone around who could help. WATCH THE VIDEO. The instructions I wrote above sound complicated. The video shows that it is very simple.

Cons
  • Not bad, but...
