How to Replace the Tailgate Pillars on a 2008 Chrysler Town and Country.3. Use a flat head screwdriver to pry up the indicated top clip (or remove it, it doesn't matter...new posts have new clips). ENSURE THE REAR DOOR IS SECURELY SUPPORTED, then remove the top of the rack from the rack.5. Follow steps 3 and 4 on the clip on the bottom of the rack.6. Install the bottom of the new rack, then the top. Squeeze them tight. ENSURE BOTH ENDS ARE CLOSED IN POSITION.7. Repeat the process on the other rack. THE MOST IMPORTANT PARTS, AS I UNDERSTAND IT, IS ENSURE THAT THE GATE IS SUPPORTED SECURELY WHILE YOU ARE WORKING ON IT AND IF YOU THINK YOU WILL BE DOING IT.
