Review on ๐Ÿชฅ Oral-B iO Series 6 Electric Toothbrush: Black Lava Edition with (1) Brush Head - Powerful Dental Care by Stacy Steckler

Revainrating 4 out of 5

That's great. but I prefer Sonicare for three reasons

If you don't have a modern electric toothbrush, you need one. is 20,000 pulses per minute or more. I would guess it is in that range. Oral B's standard electric toothbrush is $39. For an additional $100, this one offers 5 settings and a bluetooth connection to your phone so you can customize the toothbrush settings on your phone. I find this feature a bit silly. Another added feature is a red light that lights up when it thinks you're brushing too hard. This is also a feature I don't find useful or worth the extra cost. This is a great (albeit expensive) toothbrush and definitely better than a manual toothbrush. However, I like the Sonicare much better for several reasons. The attachment on the Oral B is too bulky and difficult to get behind your teeth. Second, while the Sonicare is basically the same price ($30-40 base unit, $150 premium unit), replacement tips for the Sonicare are much more expensive. Easier to access. Additionally, there are many generic aftermarket options for Sonicare, resulting in brush heads that cost under $1 each. Replacement tips for Oral B are $12.50 each. Third, Sonicare is easier to use. The Oral B has you messing around with the digital screen and it's hard to tell if you've turned it off entirely. Sonicare is more intuitive.

Pros
  • Toothbrushes and Accessories
Cons
  • It's OK
