Slides (color, 35mm): 1. The scan quality is normal, like "Mediocre". If the slide is well lit in daylight, it will scan well enough to print 3" x 5", maybe 4" x 6". Don't expect much and you won't be disappointed. and color fidelity, and details are "fur"2. The 35mm slide holder only fits one slide at a time and is designed for cardboard mats. Slides with plastic frames are too thick. You can force it (I did), but every time you risk breaking the bolt carrier. (Note: You can buy slide holders for this scanner on Amazon that hold 4 slides each. This speeds up the job, but they are also designed for card mounted slides). Cons: Wolverine Titan is a good negative viewer. This is a mediocre negative SCAN at best. Looking at the negative on the machine's screen, in many cases it looks fine (up to the screen resolution), but with good color reproduction. But when you look at the saved images, the colors are badly distorted, with a greenish/bluish cast. If you know how to do some post-processing and are willing to fix each frame individually you can get it looking decent for viewing on a computer screen most of the time, maybe good enough for a 3x5 inch print (for well lit frames) . If you really need to scan higher quality slides and can't afford the service (typically $0.50-$2.00 per slide) and don't want to use the scanner for either the cost or its typical speed of 1 slide per minute, this is it the best option is to buy (or build one - there are many homemade designs online) a slide photo adapter for your DSLR. ES-2" slide adapter and powerful LED lamp array. Works. The Nikon ES-2 adapter allows me to shoot negatives, not just slides, but since I don't have a really expensive D850 camera that can properly reflect colors, I then has to take the results and process them in a program like Photoshop, with the results being mediocre and each requiring too much work (if you just shoot a color negative and ask the program to just swap out the colors the result will usually be a heavy color cast have and everything is tinted orange.removing is a bitch.
