Review on Portable Space Heater: Dr Infrared Heater 1500-Watt, Optimal for Efficient Heating by Kaveen Reyes

Really appreciated having two of these heaters to help cover the cost of heating my baseboard at full blast all winter. The thermostat worked great on these units, so they only worked when needed. To the best of my knowledge, I have never used extension cords or done anything I shouldn't have done. After having to move one of them, I unplugged it and found that my outlet had melted as well as the plug on the heater. I will never use them again as I am afraid of what they might do next or what they will do to my house's wiring (modular and built by code). Those cost savings aren't worth using my much safer heat sources. I had about 3 months of these before now feeling like they will just be giant paper scales. Too bad.
