I bought this meter wheel in 2009 and ended up not using it for its intended purpose. Today (05/18/2018) I inserted batteries for the first time. I wanted to accurately measure the 1 mile step for the marathon at 26.2 so I could post the markers for the runners. After riding what I knew for sure, about a mile, the bike measured over 1500 feet, less than 5280 feet. I noticed that the steering wheel is electronic, not analog. My conclusion is that this steering wheel is a waste of money and I should never have bought an electronic steering wheel. Yes, it has a lot of bells and whistles, but it's hopelessly inaccurate. My GPS app on my iPhone is more accurate, although it tends to be about 0.5 miles longer after completing a certified course that is 26.2 miles long. I am very disappointed to learn that I wasted my money on this bike. No wonder the guarantee is only 2 years. It's a crappy measuring wheel.
