I bought these to replace the cheap/lightweight o-rings that fit on 8.5 oz flip top bottles that I have locally ( in Kingston, Jamaica). I use them to bottle a homemade kombucha that I've only recently dabbled in. These gaskets are thicker and well made and offer a much better seal. With these seals, after a short second fermentation, the bottles open with a powerful bang, whereas before it was a barely audible "Fu" when the CO2 escaped through cheap seals. In our tropical climate, the fermentation process is faster here, so the beech is ready in about 7 days. And SCOBY is growing exponentially (may have to move out of my house to get used to it. lol)
