Review on Soldering Magnifying Flexible Electronics Modeling by Cris Drew

I, like many others, had a small utility product to start with. They work great but are very stiff which makes soldering a lot harder. It's an octopus and it's beautiful. I've been using it continuously for a week and have only had two problems. First, the levers come loose from the base and need to be tightened frequently. Second, alligator clips also often come loose. They are also brittle and begin to break up fairly quickly at the tightening point. They still work fine, but that's something to consider. The light and magnifying glass work great. It's also quite heavy and has never shown any signs of tipping over. I would recommend it, but you might want to consider looking for better quality alligator clips.
