I bought this for a 2011 RAM 1500 with an aftermarket stereo. Installation was easy - the only challenge was finding a way into the booth for the cable. Although the wire that comes with it is well insulated and could probably be fine, I'd recommend buying a wire harness or other protective cover as you'll be running it along the underside of the car. The image is sharp and gives me a great view to see my tow. Trailer hitch. When I first used it I was able to position my pendant exactly where I needed it without any adjustments.
