I have just finished installing on a section of brake line that I needed to replace on my 1995 Civic Si. The first time I tried tightening the connector on the brake line nut, the connection broke and an airtight seal did not form. I got lucky and replaced the nipple with a new nipple (and the same brake line nut) and this time I didn't tighten it as much - just a little tightening - and it held a good seal throughout my brake bleed process. I have yet to test how the compound holds up after riding and using the brakes more aggressively, but for now I'd say it's holding up. UPDATE 10/10: Brake connections leaking (both ends) on my second ride. Unfortunately, I don't recommend these connections for 3/16 steel lines (as other reviewers have mentioned). Now I'm tormented by the need to redo the brake line.
