When using the chrome adapter on a faucet the green plastic end of the hose is held in place by two relatively small latches (levers) which broke without my strong pull on first use so polyethylene is not very suitable for this . The plastic adapter holds everything well and screws onto the garden hose giving good support for the green plastic cleaning hose so this is the way to go. Buy an adapter (at extra cost) to connect a garden hose to a kitchen faucet, use a gray plastic tie with a green hose and get away with it. Works perfectly.
