Accidentally bought 5 inches. Needless to say, it fit in the protective case of my 4.5 inch grinder in Milwaukee. I tested it, it rotated without intervention. Well as soon as I gave it full throttle it started, an arc of sparks flew about 6 feet up. Two of the three blades are fired at Mach 10. One went straight down a hard wooden staircase 15 feet to my left, the other got stuck in the ceiling and went just an inch past my face. I wore goggles. Make sure you choose the right size or run without protection. A 5 inch guard will fit in a 4.5 inch guard, but don't trust it. I removed the guard and finished my pruning job with an intact cutting edge with little effort and to my great surprise this warrants a 5 star rating. Bought the right size. It gnaws through the tree like nothing. Small trees, planks, whatever. Be careful because he can make a return.
