Review on Samyang AF 85mm F1.4 Weather Sealed Lens - Canon EOS R RF Mount (SYIO85AF-RF): High-Speed Auto Focus Lens for Clear and Crisp Photography by Justin Yay

I really want a Canon RF 85 1.2L but this lens costs almost 3,000 and is hard to justify for business now during the pandemic. So I bought this lens and tried it and I was surprised at how good it really is. It's not as sharp as my RF 50 1.2L, but not as expensive either. I think it's sharp enough. It's really more to my satisfaction, the customers really can't tell what lens I use, they like the pictures with whatever lenses I use haha. instead of heavy lenses. Congratulations to Samyang for a job well done with this lens. I really think it was a great success. Light, sharp, affordable and it's an RF mount. I hope they continue to make more focal lengths because I think a lot of people will be buying them over Canon at this early stage of the HF system launch. Unfortunately my copy doesn't work with ibis for my R6. need to update the document. Samyang hopes to make version 1.2 with AF! Great lens for the price! Definitely worth buying if you do a lot of portraits and want an RF mount but don't want adapters and can't afford the Canon RF 85 1.2L. Instagram @702marcjames
