Review on Premium Bordered Silicone Adhesive Foam Dressings - MedVance TM - 4"X4" Pad Size (Box Of 5) by Jon Smith

My husband had 2 emergency abdominal surgeries 3 months ago which left him with a nasty 8 inch wound. We were blessed to have a nurse come in 3 times a week to pack and dress the wound but unfortunately she couldn't move in with us and had other patients who needed her more. He is also super, super sensitive to adhesives and the nurse had to use silicone dressings to avoid rashes and irritation. Hubby is now down to an area that is less than an inch long but keeps hypergranulating and requires silver nitrate treatment with dressing which we do at home. On my quest for silicone dressings, I opted for the MedVance 2"x5". The price is unbeatable and they are very flexible and not bulky at all while being absorbent.We are frugal people and silicone dressings are not like bandages you get at the grocery store, they are pricey but so worth it. I got the 2"x5" dressing so I could cut them in half lengthwise so we'd have twice as many dressings. We then use medical tape to adhere the cut area to his skin. They are perfect for his stubborn boo-boo that is taking it's good old time healing. I would highly recommend them.
