Excellent after knee replacement surgery

I ordered this product because I needed a long and FLEXIBLE bandage to cover my surgical scar 10 days after my surgeon removed the one he'd put on after my knee replacement surgery. This bandage was perfect -- the length of the pad portion sufficiently covered the surgical incision while it was healing, plus protected it from being inadvertently scraped, etc. The pad and adhesion sections we're flexible enough that they weren't troublesome when I walked or did my PT exercises. The bandage was…

Pros
  • Was not happy with the 1-inch one and a half inch pad in a 4-in dressing
Cons
  • The foam material may become saturated too quickly

Adhesion Depends on Where Wound Is Located

These worked as well as another brand that the Wound Center gave me. Very comfortable, but adhesion depends on where our wound is located. They tell you that if it is on a joint, like your elbow, to expect adhesion not to be perfect, but my experience was with a breast wound, so I think it also doesn't work too well on soft tissue that moves around a lot.

Pros
  • Bandages & Bandaging Supplies
Cons
  • The adhesive may not be suitable for use on patients with latex allergies

It works but your dont get that many

I used this product for a bed sore. I did have a problem with the adhesive at frist. Was a little disappointed with the quantity . Put least I did not get rip off like Walmart.

Pros
  • MULTI-USE: Effective for applications such as post-operative wounds, bed sores, cysts, pressure ulcers, burns, and other minor traumas. Approved for Level II of the Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS). Use code A6212 for billing/claims.
Cons
  • The dressing may cause skin discoloration

A lifesaver in my review

Used these after my wife had abdominal surgery with a 10" scar, she was allergic to the medical tape the hospital gave us so we tried these, they were the perfect size and worked great to keep her wound covered and dry during showers. A tad expensive at 5$ a piece but pretty necessary for us!

Pros
  • B075N6K9VK
Cons
  • The dressing may leave residue on clothing and bedding

Silicone bandage, square

I am sensitive to adhesives and I will say that I didn't seem to have reaction to these. However, they adhesive becomes very gooey once you apply them and your body temp warms them. Eh. I am so disappointed because they are the perfect size. However, I can't use them where my wound is - inner thigh. So, if you had a wound that maybe was in a less warm spot? They might work better - but just your body heat makes the adhesive gooey - I did buy several boxes and tested one out each box to be sure…

Pros
  • The best!
Cons
  • The foam material may cause itching and discomfort

Not correct description on web site

The pad is only 2.0" x 6.0" and has that on the package. It is supposed to be 2.4" x 6.4" might want to update on you web site. Thanks for attention!

Pros
  • No
Cons
  • The border may cause skin necrosis

Sticks well to skin

These are comfortable to wear and stick well to skin. There did not appear to be any adhesion to incision site. Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • Works exceptionally well.
Cons
  • The adhesive may not remain effective after prolonged wear

Great tool. Especially for sensitive skin

Silicon dressings have so many uses. I used it after MOHs plastic surgery on my face to hold the dressing in place without using tape that would rip on my skin When changed 3/day. I just changed a small piece of telfa dressing beneath it and reused the same dressing on the outside. And you can do that with this dressing as long as you aren’t getting any drainage on it. I’ve been using this also as a protective dressing after the wound is healed as the Covid mask would rub against it otherwise…

Pros
  • Thank you for the fast shipping. These bandages are the easiest on my skin
Cons
  • The cost is too high for just five dressings

They keep my open wound protected.

I received 1 box of 5 bandages, but I ordered 2 boxes and would like to have the other box delivered, please. Good product for my needs.

Pros
  • Great medical pad
Cons
  • The border may not be flexible enough for movement

Good bandage on my review.

We used two of these bandages after scoliosis surgery along with a transparent waterproof covering to protect the bandages during showering. Pretty much exact same thing that she came home with. Couldn't find exact one in stock, but where we found them out of stock they were selling for $16 a piece or more. So this was very good for 5 bandages for less than $27. Came packaged individually, as they should.

Pros
  • SG_B075N6K9VK_US
Cons
  • The dressing may not be suitable for use during radiation therapy

Gettin Better for my opinion

Everyone’s situation is different. Mine is pretty intense and meets about 80% of what I need the patch to do Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • Very good
Cons
  • The adhesive may not remain in place during physical activity

Works as long as you put it on dry skin and keep it dry

Seems to peel right off if you get things even a little bit wet- that's the only real issue. The bandaid sticks to moving skin pretty well- it stuck to my knee for all day. The packaging is way easier to use than most with a broad area to grab around the bandaid itself so that you can get it out even with bike gloves on and there's less chance of the plaster being contaminated by touch. It does come off SUPER easy- like instantly- if things get damp with water, sweat or any liquid that's the…

Pros
  • About twice the price I can get elsewhere, but needed them in a hurry. Works and sticks great.
Cons
  • The foam material may interfere with wound healing

Perfect for incision sites

These things are amazing, I just wish they weren't that expensive. I had some pins placed in my ankle leaving me with a 3" incision. These do feel sticky but they a have the right amount of moisture ensuring that my wound doesn't dry out. This was important to me. Additionally, even though they did feel sticky, my scab did not come off while using these, I was worried about that. I love the padding because it really helped my wound not be sensitive while walking with a walking boot or ache as…

Pros
  • September 14, 2017
Cons
  • The adhesive may not be suitable for use on wounds located near eyes, mouth, and nose

Effective but expensive solution

Like this size (2x2) bandage for a slow healing small wound. However, it is too expensive---when others become available again, I will purchase them.

Pros
  • Very good product.
Cons
  • Ok

By far the BEST on my review.

I tried so many of these bandages and all of them would roll up on the edges (very thin and flimsy and hard to handle) and wouldn't stick very well at all. These are a little thicker and easier to handle and stick like a charm.I am so happy to finally find ones that are still so comfortable but yet stick so well and still come off very easily.Buy these they are the best out there by far!

Pros
  • I am using as a cushion for the side of my foot. Is great as a cushion.
Cons
  • The border may not be suitable for use around wounds in sensitive areas

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Perfect for sensitive skin

Bandaids don’t work for me as taking themOff always takes skin and leave me with a new wound. These don’t do that. They are freaking expensive but perfect for my post abscess surgery care.

Pros
  • PROMOTES HEALING: MedVance bordered silicone dressings offer effective absorbency, are comfortable to use and provide the optimal environment to promote healing. The self adhesive multilayer structure helps create an optimum healing environment by keeping the wound moist and preventing bacterial contamination/activity.
Cons
  • The dressing may require frequent changes, leading to higher costs

Doesn’t adhere well

Product does not adhere well at allThe end come up most of the time.I have to put cloth tape over themAnd my skin is very sensitive to skin tears due to long term steroid use do to long term illness

Pros
  • wound care and very tender skin due to blood thinners. the silicone adhesive works perfectly
Cons
  • The adhesive may interfere with wound assessment

Best bandage on my review.

I had purchased these a while back but at the same time I needed more so I ordered more and at the same time I would use them all over again the thing is that I am a wound care nurse and I did the certificate open Tampa when I had lived there for about a year and a half all I would be seeing her patients that had the biggest won’t care that you need to take care of so when I move back to Miami from Tampa my father was in and out of the hospital and his bandage actually saved me from him…

Pros
  • Easy to remove from sensitive skin.
Cons
  • The dressing may cause moisture buildup, leading to infections

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Soft and not bulky.

My husband had 2 emergency abdominal surgeries 3 months ago which left him with a nasty 8 inch wound. We were blessed to have a nurse come in 3 times a week to pack and dress the wound but unfortunately she couldn't move in with us and had other patients who needed her more. He is also super, super sensitive to adhesives and the nurse had to use silicone dressings to avoid rashes and irritation. Hubby is now down to an area that is less than an inch long but keeps hypergranulating and requires…

Pros
  • Very easy to apply!
Cons
  • The dressing may not be suitable for wounds with delicate skin

Works well best in my review

I used this for my client. She had an injury on her foot and this provided great comfort for her. Kept the wound dry and did not move at all. I changed it out as often as the wound specialist said to. I was able to cut it in half and it still worked the same as whole. My client did not want a picture taken of her foot, but wanted to say this is very comfortable!

Pros
  • Easy to apply and easy to remove. Considering where I had to use it, it did a good job.
Cons
  • The border may cause discomfort during sleeping
