Exceeds expectations

Three fantastic markers. Six stars if I could. Will definitely buy again. I bought them to paint my car. The main reasons I chose this brand were the variety of colors, the fact that they are water based and also that they came in a zipped bag which made them easy to carry. My car's glossy finish has completely worn away, so I use this paint on a flat surface. (The paint "grips" well on a weathered car surface, so I don't know how well it will hold on a glossy surface.) These markers prime easily and write smoothly and evenly. No drips, lumps or gaps. The pen thickness is slightly thicker than the regular Sharpie. They sit comfortably in your hand for an hour and are easy to use. The color is opaque. Apparently the seller wants reviews to give credit for "transparency", but the color of these markers is not transparent at all. . If you look closely at the photos included in my review, you can see a fish to the right of the long piece of seaweed. I painted a yellow marker over the brushed green paint and went over the area twice to get pretty decent coverage of the yellow over the dark green. Also, if you zoom in on the (incomplete) blue fish, you can see that the light blue completely obscures my pencil marks. The longevity rating can mean different things, so I'll explain my 3 interpretations of what longevity is. You may be interested to know. 1) Marker juiciness: I started drawing, stopped for a month, and started drawing again. During this time, none of the markers have dried out or become crusted. 2) Color Coverage: I don't know how much area each marker covers. I don't know if I can cover my car with markers on my first purchase. I'm only about 15% done with my project. What I knew was that if those markings ran out before I was done with the car, I would definitely buy it again. 3) Paint durability: 1 month between coats of wind, rain and dense wildfire smoke (parked outdoors on the US west coast). The existing paint held up well and didn't rub off when I wiped the car down with a damp cloth. It also withstands an eraser, cleaning with a damp cotton swab and a light wipe with Windex. Some packs of markers say they are UV resistant, but I haven't been able to test that yet. I hope the colors stay vibrant for a long time. I plan to spray a UV resistant acrylic sealer on the treated areas as I continue to work to protect them but I believe this paint will hold well on many surfaces that are not strong. .Overall these markers are excellent. If you're shopping for water-based markers here at Revain, you might want to stop browsing. These are the ones you are looking for.
