When you need to run any cable (except fiber) through a wall, this is a must-have tool. I also have fiberglass rods and fishing line but this is definitely a must have for certain scenarios. If you don't know how to do this, you either drill a small hole in the wall high up, or go into the attic and drill a hole in the wall; Then pass the chain through the hole. At the other end, where the wire will end, drill another hole and use the magnet to pull the chain through; Then attach the cable to the chain and pull it up.
