Review on 🏍 ATLAS Throttle Assist - A Motorcycle Cruise Control Throttle Lock, TOP KIT by Justin Newport

Great product and customer service

I ordered the bottom kit but after receiving it I realized I needed the top kit version. I contacted Atlas and asked if they would do an exchange. They emailed me the prepayment and I sent mine back. The processing time after they received the one I sent was about a day. Everyone said the exchange took less than two weeks and everything went smoothly with no problems. I was very happy with the customer service. The product itself appears to have high build quality. Installation instructions are clear and work as described. I think there are videos on the internet too. The product is very well designed in terms of both instillation and performance. Once you've picked the right friction pad, it only takes a few minutes to dig in and works like a fairly simple friction lock. It holds the throttle in place well and can be easily released in an emergency without having to disengage the lock. I rarely write reviews but I was so impressed with this product that I thought it deserved it. I will note one thing to watch out for when installing. The instructions state that you should use the largest friction pad that will fit. However, you will need to test this and make sure the throttle stick clicks all the way back when rotated while the lock is off. During my instillation, a small rubber seam on the throttle body was enough to engage the friction lining and prevent the throttle body from bouncing. This was easily fixed with a smaller washer. It was hardly worth mentioning, but I suppose if someone was in a rush and didn't check it properly, it could cause a problem.

Pros
  • nice touch
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something
