The best way to solve the problem is in accessories

My wife and I installed magnetic mounts in both cars. So when we upgraded our cellphones to wireless charging, we had a small problem: a metal strip, which was needed for the magnet to work, was problematic for wireless charging. We tried a metal plate that was thin enough for the charger to still work, but the magnet in our car couldn't get a firm hold through the silicone case. This solves the problem. It has a nice firm grip and since it stays in the car it doesn't interfere with wireless charging at home. It's also a fairly inexpensive solution to a problem that can end up costing you some money if you try one solution at a time. This ends our search for a solution. My only minor gripe is that while it doesn't take more than a few seconds to attach and detach the device, it's still a little awkward to get to where you're going and you can't just pick up your phone and go. I think that's a compromise worth making because it solves the fundamental problem of having a solid mount that doesn't interfere with loading.
