So I fell in love with these skates! So much so that I don't consider them beginner skates. The ankle support is ideal for beginner skaters because you cannot tuck your ankle with a rigid support. And the fur lining is nice and keeps the foot warm. But in general my daughter ALWAYS only wears Riedels because she has a wide foot with no arch! The Jacksons will never suit her no matter where she is in her sporting career. I am so grateful that I chose such high quality and well made skates on my first try.
