Review on 🔧 40260 Universal Spring Compressor by Specialty Products by Carta Gutierrez

I have two sets of inexpensive spring compressors, including a well known brand, that bend and slip when the springs are compressed. I wanted something better but at a reasonable price. I was willing to pay the normal price for them but was a bit skeptical as they are very similar to other tools that cost a lot less. When the price mysteriously halved in one day, I quickly bought them before the price changed again (I've had rapid inexplicable price swings on Revain lately). Although they differ slightly from similar models I've seen at Revain, with an unused section in a storage case used by another brand, it seems clear that this is probably basically the same instrument with minor modifications. I do like how they attach to the spring though (three claws versus the cheaper version which has two) and while I don't know how long the vinyl will last, closed claws hold up better than bare metal. My other compressors are constantly struggling to keep them from slipping and there is a bit of anxiety when the threaded rods bend. There was no slipping or bending with them. Compressing the springs was as easy as turning bolts. With well lubricated threads, little force was required and there was no noticeable wear after the first three uses of the tool.
