Overall such a great product with very few negatives. What used to take 45 minutes with a regular curling iron or 1 hour with curlers, I can achieve in 20 minutes with this product. Highly recommended. I didn't give it a 5 star rating due to some cons I found while using it, but would recommend it to family and friends. ShoulderPros1. Very easy to use (I'd watch one of the videos just in case, but once you use it it becomes second nature)2. The timer setting is ideal for smooth curls3. The ability to change curl direction is useful for those of us who have hair that curls differently on different sides of the head. Curl stays (this may be due to the hair product rather than the curler; I used the CHI product that came in the pack and a separate straightener and was able to wear my hair for 2 days)5. Actually, you can make small or big strands of hair (they say to use 1 inch strands, but I was able to do more. Be careful, too much gets caught) 6. Lightweight, with sufficient cord length and easy to use (no buttons or Handles to unlock, you just literally pull it down to release hair)7. Heats up to 360 degrees in 40 seconds (I discovered) Minuses1. Not suitable for very short hair like bangs (since this is a 1 inch barrel I would suggest using it with a shorter timer and angle if you are doing bangs)2. Limited to just 1" barrel so curl is one size (but if you want tighter or looser curls just change the timer settings)3. It's round so there's no stand to set it up so you have to just make sure it doesn't roll off the stand when you put it on a flat surface.
