Review on Enhanced Tailgate Lift Shocks for 2001-2008 Chrysler PT Cruiser - 2-Pack for Liftgate Hatch Trunk - QiMox Compatible by Scott Bradford

At first I didn't think this was the right product for my 2002 PT Cruiser because the way these shocks connect to the car is different than the original . , Default settings. The originals are held in place with hex nuts, while these non-original joints are connected with a ball joint. It would be very helpful if this was mentioned in the product description and not just in the product photos. I actually started the product return process before looking at them again and deciding to give it a try. They turned out to be correct and easier to install than removing the original ones. Right now, just a few days after installation, they help VERY well when opening the tailgate and also offer a correspondingly strong resistance when trying to close the door. I have a feeling that this strong opening force will wear off a bit over time. Overall I think this is a great product, extremely high quality and surprisingly easy to install.
