These replacement tailgate lifters work great but are difficult to hit as the top screw has to be screwed in at an angle. Installation can take ten minutes or an hour depending on how you do it. It takes 10 minutes if you call two people and first screw in the top screws at a weird angle and then screw in the bottom screws. Received the kit today. Looked at her and walked off. You will need a T40 star bit, a 12mm socket and a 2-socket ratchet. With the trunk lid supported by another person, a piece of wood, or whatever you have handy, remove one side at a time to hold the lid fully open. They seem to work fine. You replace four screws and then insert them into the new screws. It took me about fifteen minutes. You must be careful when removing screws and installing new screws.
