These replacement tailgate lifters work great but are difficult to hit as the top screw has to be screwed in at an angle. Installation can take ten minutes or an hour depending on how you do it. It takes 10 minutes if you call two people and first screw in the top screws at a weird angle and then screw in the bottom screws. It will take an hour if you do it yourself and don't screw in the top screw first. When screwing in the top screw, be sure to enter at an upward angle and use a power drill as this will make it easier for the screw to grab the threads. Once you get the first in the second, it's a breeze. I have a feeling they work better than the factory elevators.
