Bought 3 in 2011 for 9.99 each. It was four years ago. I gave one to my wife and the other to my daughter. We use them on our laptops. They work great to keep your feet cool. They also help keep the laptop cool. because your laptop sucks in cooling air from below. and when you place your laptop on a soft/fabric surface like your lap, couch, or bed. Your laptop cannot draw cold air into the air intake on the bottom of your laptop. Another advantage is if you put your laptop on your lap/sofa/bed. It sucks the lint off these surfaces. Eventually, this will completely clog your laptop's heatsink. A clogged heatsink causes major problems including slow performance, unexpected shutdown and finally complete failure of your laptop. I know it seems counterintuitive because the 'laptop' should sit on your 'lap' right? Not correct. Your laptop's cooling system works like a tiny vacuum cleaner. It sucks lint and hair from knees/sofa/bed. Eventually, the radiator will become completely clogged with lint and hair, and your laptop will stop working. You can avoid high repair bills by always placing your laptop on a hard surface. like a lap table. These lap tables are also great for writing (by hand) while sitting on the couch/bed. The area on each side of the pen serves as a convenient place to place a pen/pencil/marker.
