Normal initial cost but poor or NO warranty service

I have Zamp portable panels (200w and 80w) and a Zamp 60A charge controller in an RV. I recently had to expand and decided to try Renogy because they are cheaper. I chose these 100W foldable units with no charge controller as I find moving my 200W panel cumbersome due to its size. Comparing Renogy to Zamp I would say that Renogy is just as good (functionally) and cheaper. I love that the Renogy has a handle on the plate; Zamp attaches the handle to the body. I like folding locks a little more than Zamp (both work well). I think Renogy's motor is better than Zamp's, but both work well. I don't like that the Renogy doesn't have a cable like the Zamp. Renogy modules perform best in bright sunlight. Registration: The registration card indicates that online registration is possible in the "Downloads" section of the homepage. I couldn't find the download area. A search for "login" didn't find anything on their site. Searching for "Download" didn't bring me to the download area with registration. I guess I have to mail your cards. My question is about maintenance. Zamp service is great; A knowledgeable person answers the call immediately. My 200w panel was thrown to the wind and Zamp's maintenance costs would have been very cheap. I decided to replace the panel and fix it myself as the damaged panel was still working. Along the way, Zamp was very helpful with repair information. I just called Renogy NOW to find out how to get a replacement panel after a crash. I was on hold for maybe 5 minutes and got an agent who kept insisting the damage was not covered under warranty. I explained that I just wanted to buy a replacement panel and he explained that I couldn't get any of them and I couldn't connect the panels. It was all nonsense. I then explained that I have Zamp and know that I can do it and that I am writing this comparison test. THEN he said I could buy a replacement panel and do it myself - just a few minutes after he said I couldn't. I don't know if this customer support was in India and the problem was the language barrier, or if it's in the US. However I am not impressed with the service after this call. So I decided to continue checking and called the sales department. There is NO replacement plate for this model, so this model is NOT repairable. You must change the entire assembly. Wind damage is a very real possibility for RV owners. If I get more panels for my RV roof I will most likely return to Zamp and pay extra as I "know" their service is excellent but for the original price the Renogy is fine. Wind damage is a very real threat to RVs. Since the device is beyond repair (replacement of panels), I would not buy another Renogy product. I am giving this product 1 star due to the handling of my customer service request and the fact that it is not possible to repair this panel without replacing the entire unit. Early summer 2019, still under warranty but unfortunately NO service. Diode burned out
