Review on Premium Harman Kardon AVR-154 Home Theater Receiver - Discontinued by Manufacturer by Ryan Person

Entry-level product offering good value for money

Front panel buttons are non-backlit for use in low light conditions. This is a serious deficiency. I mainly use it for home cinema in the evenings. I don't have to aim the flash to see which button is for surround mode and which is for FM/AM mode. Basic AVR amp with entry-level performance. The price is very reasonable if you don't have a big bag. I bought this as a second amp in my 10 speaker 2 subwoofer surround sound system as my other 7+1 amp couldn't drive all 10+2 speakers. I connect the output channels of the preamp of the first amp to the 5+1 channel input of the Harman Kardon AVR-154. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a second amp and this one does the job well. HDMI connections are also only used for signal transmission. Don't set your expectations too high. This model has been discontinued; So it's time to buy the AVR 154 at a bargain price. The new line of Harman Kardon AVR receivers (with enhanced features) are more than double the price. There are no offers as they have just been published. to buy the AVR 154 at a bargain price. The new line of Harman Kardon AVR receivers (with enhanced features) are more than double the price.
