I love this bedding set and how well made it is. Of course, it is not inherently "soft", but pleasantly light and crisp. Last night I threw a blanket over the duvet and slept nice and cool. The next day I washed it warm and tumble dried it. Being cotton, it shrank a bit, as I expected, but like my good cotton sheets, the duvet covers and pillows came straight out of the dryer with a few creases and were easy to straighten out. Not bad for the first wash and dry (and they only get softer)! Also, I was a bit concerned that the dark grey-blue dye on one side would bleed over to the lighter back. The only oddity was that there were tiny leaves/buds that were very light gray on the dark side, but some of those light gray leaves faded to white after washing (I liked them, but honestly nothing special). I'm really happy with this set.
