Ideal replacement for a defective parking brake. Easy to install, comes with everything you need including parking brake assembly, pedal, release handle, cable and on/off pin, all pre-assembled and ready to remove. It took an hour to remove the defective device and replace it with this one. If you own a Chevy truck and your parking brake suddenly stops working, first check the pads on the rear rotors (parking brake pads, not brake pads) and make sure your cables are tight and not broken. While you're there, you can still service the brakes - inspect, clean with brake fluid, lubricate, etc. If everything's fine, it's probably due to the assembly and the built-in tensioner that tightens the cable when you press the pedal. For a little over $50, it's worth a try. The problem was solved for me and now my wheels are securely locked and the pedal is only 1/3 of the way.
