Lousy instructions, front panel - unnecessary installation of 2007.5 Silverado with Bose Atoto radio installation

Installed 2007.5 Silverado with Bose, double din Atoto head unit installed, and the instructions say use pioneer connectors, here is what I found 1) the supplied bezel kit was total junk, didn't fit properly and I haven't used it, bought a Metra kit instead and they are much better. 2) Crux plays a video that looks like it's plug and play with inspirational music, but again it's not true - everything installed and connected as instructed and 1) Bose didn't work, 2) steering wheel controls didn't work . After pulling out the radio and tracing each wire, spent hours reading the manual, looked online, finally called crux - turns out i had to cut the 3.5mm plug and connect the wires directly to the wiring harness (not in the manual!) red wire goes to the steering wheel plus the control wire , white to the control wire and black to ground. I think I'll stick with metra or pac from now on as it was total bullshit due to the lack of updated instructions from Crux's side. Everything worked fine after that but how much time it took and the frustration was off the charts. Good instructions after calling the technician who unfortunately was born without personality but in his defense really helped me and his company as this unit had to be returned to the seller. I think from now on I'll stick with metra or pac as it was complete nonsense from Crux's side due to lack of updated instructions.
