I've only had this item a month. If problems are found I will revise my review. Restoration of a historic house. In the final stages, I constantly use a chisel for small modifications, so I usually keep it in my back pocket. If it hits the handle first I cut myself or scrape something with the end of the chisel. If there is another way, I quickly have a hole in my pocket. It turned out that this article will solve both problems. For now I can tell you the following. Advantages: 1. Folding function protects everything 2. So far the blade has kept a sharp edge3. Despite the folding function, the blade is stable Disadvantages: 1. I don't think you want to hit it with a hammer. The rivets on the handle probably won't last long.2. The grip, while not uncomfortable, is not as comfortable as the grip of a thin chisel. I was aware of both cons before purchasing the chisel but thought they would be minor inconveniences. I was right. I gave this 5 stars not because it's a great chisel but because it works very well and does exactly what I wanted it to. I have several other folding items from the same company. None of these would be my tool of choice for heavy work, but they all work well when you need to do something simple and quick. I can usually pull a tool from my pocket and finish the job before I can go to my tool box and come back with the right tool.
