I've had this iPad cushion for 2.5 years and I'm still very happy with it; However, I made two changes to make it work better. Positive: β’ lasts very long (2.5 years and still works with daily use!) β’ very comfortable; fits well on your knees or any other surface β’ stays surprisingly clean (wipe off dust as needed; back fabric keeps dust in the foam behind) β’ the foam will NOT fall apart after use (still like new after all this time) β’ is nothing else like it on the market, so this one remains the best choice. Cons: β’ Cannot easily charge the iPad (need to turn it sideways or upside down OR tuck the charging port underneath) β’ iPad DOES NOT stay in place - falls off easily (even with the handle) β’ Bottom hinge also breaks easily (wish it was round) or metal) β’ too bulky to take with you on the go as suggested; best used in a common place (e.g. different rooms of the house) Modifications (I'll try to add pictures later): (1) CUT THE BOTTOM FOR THE CHARGING CABLE. The first thing I did was use a dremel to cut off the middle of the lower lip that is holding the iPad. This allows me to charge my iPad upright without having to turn it upside down or hold the cable against my lip. To be honest, I'm surprised that the manufacturer didn't make this modification themselves after all this time. It's such an obvious improvement that it doesn't sacrifice other features. (2) Velcro to keep the iPad from falling: The second thing I did was add a velcro to hold the iPad in place so it wouldn't fall anymore. I place my iPad in the case and then place the large rectangle of the "soft" side of the Velcro in the center of the case. The large rectangle ensures the Velcro works in both landscape and portrait orientations. I then attached two small pieces of Velcro to the iPad cushion. These velcro straps are velcro hooks and are approximately 1/2" x 1" in size. I put them on the central, moving part of the pillow. This piece consists of two parts, the top with the Prop 'n Go logo and the plain bottom. I attached Velcro at the bottom. They will be placed about 1/2" from the top and 3/8" from the edges. The softer the velcro on the case, the easier it is to successfully place the velcro on the pillow with a hook. Overall, despite the necessary modifications, this pad is still the best iPad mount out there. I can use my iPad while sitting in a chair, relaxing on the couch, sitting on the toilet (you know what you're doing! LOL) and lying in bed in different positions. It's very comfortable and lasts a long time. While I wish the hinges were more durable, the plastic used seems to hold up well to normal wear and tear and only a few minor scratches are visible if you look up close to find them. If this one needs to be replaced, I'll happily buy another one. It's not perfect but with so many positives I would highly recommend this Prop 'n Go pad for iPad and give it 5 stars.
