I have been in the auto repair industry for over 20 years and have used many different consumer and professional scanners. This scanner provides access to reading and erasing codes in modules, which in years past was only possible with scanners costing thousands of dollars. While there are options to purchase some may see this as a downside as they are not included in the purchase price but in fact high-end scanners offer the same functionality. Spending $50 to add the features you need to get the job done is still very smart and gives the consumer the option to add only the additional features you need rather than a costly pre-packaged offering with one Set of functions you can use. never use or need. As a mechanic, I could use it as a daily vehicle and do a decent percentage of repairs without having to buy something much more expensive. I recommend it to anyone with at least a little knowledge of automotive diagnostics.
