Not the best choice for sofas on vinyl plank floors

I thought it would go well under our sofa legs on our vinyl plank floors. I have young children who like to run around and are not particularly gentle with furniture. Eventually the couch slides slightly to the edge of this disk, then start dragging the metal edge of this disk across the floor as your couch slowly moves over time. I ended up getting some sticky felt bases for the sofa legs. It didn't work the way I thought it would. I'm sure it's great in some applications. But in my application it's better not to use them at all.
