Measure the size of your hand (grip).

This is a good tool for arthritis or other people who need help opening bottles etc. and definitely economical. I have arthritis in my hands and had surgery on my right index finger. The tool appears to be well made, although being plastic it feels flexible yet durable and will/should withstand many uses. It's made entirely of plastic, so it passes TSA security checks and fits comfortably in your lunch basket. Since Zero Water (which I can't open unaided) increases the range of the instrument to about 3-1/2 inches while a smaller diameter cap like Red Wine Vinegar (see 2). My grip length is about 3-1/2 inches from thumb to last knuckle since my last knuckles are functional enough for gripping. So for me the smaller 1" caps work well, I can comfortably hold larger caps like the Zero Water and twist with enough torque, the tool span will be a bit large for my grip to be comfortable to use and enough torque to open tool has serrations to make it easier to grip and the reed part is good for picking up the reed and the C crochet works well for pulling the lid back in. Generally suitable for small lids Other products look interesting maybe mine next venture: https://smile.amazon.com/LOVATIC-Can-Jar-Opener-Ergonomic/dp/B07KR98B7Y/ref=sr_1_5?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1548011174&sr=1-5&keywords=bottle+opener+ for+arthritis+hands
